FOUNDER
John Denny
Mr. Denny has 23 years of respiratory device development experience within Pharmaceutical R&D and Manufacturing at GSK, Mylan, and AstraZeneca. He has also worked at two start-ups, leading the design and development of two novel drug delivery technologies. Mr. Denny holds a BS degree in mechanical engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point. He started Knightpoint in 2017 as a virtual CDMO, to help companies streamline the combination products approval process.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Eric Richardson
Mr. Richardson is a mechanical engineer with 30 years of experience, 23 years focused on respiratory drug delivery devices. Formerly, Mr. Richardson worked for 3M Riker Laboratories while attending University and worked as a Product Development Engineer for Bespak Ltd and Director of Product Development and Manufacturing for two start-up companies. He also formed his consulting firm Syphase, LLC in 2010.
Mr. Richardson graduated with Associate and Bachelors degrees in Engineering after attending Moorpark College, California State University of Northridge and Chico.
RESPIRATORY PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Andy Burgess
Mr. Burgess has 21 + years experience in Respiratory Product Development within R & D at GSK including all aspects of Analytical and Formulation for CMC sections of NDA’s for DPI’s and pMDI’s.
He has an additional 15 years experience in strategic sourcing and supplier development for excipients, packaging and devices. Overall this combined experience has given oversight of the process from discovery through development to commercial supply of DPI's from first generation (Salbutamol/BDP) to second generation (Salmeterol and FP) and third generation (Vilanterol/Umeclidinium and Fluticasone Furoate).
INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER
Jeff Warden
Mr. Warden is an industrial designer with 30 years of experience, 15 years in the design and development of medical products including inhalers, injectors, and medical packaging, with a focus on early phase product development and human centered design. Mr. Warden graduated with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati.
COMMERCIAL & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Russell F Spencer
Russell brings over 30 years global pharmaceutical experience in technical, program management, sourcing, supply chain, business and corporate development.
During this time, he has had the opportunity to work on every aspect of large and small molecule products in both the originator and generic markets.
After time at Glaxo, GlaxoWellcome and GSK, Russell moved to Mylan, now Viatris after which he spent time as an advisor for major investment institutions and pharmaceutical companies for M&A, strategy, turnround and divestment.
He is the founder of the Virtual Pharma Alliance and an advisor, director or NED to various organizations.
